I have been feeling concerned that my body of work may come across as a jumbled, disconnected hodge podge because I enjoy playing with so many different styles and mediums. I have pen and ink, linocut prints, and even the styles of my digital work vary. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time cutting anything out because each style seems to generate an interest. How to pick?
Well, I don't know if my little 'collections' plan will work or not. When it's all said and done my work may still come across as a jumbled mess at the exchange. We will just have to give it a try and see how it turns out. This will be a great learning experience for sure.

Amy this piece is BEAUTIFUL! I know exactly what you mean about dabbling in lots of different mediums and consequently feeling like they aren't cohesive. But I just like to try new things! Excited to see your works at the HC :-)
Amy! These turned out even better than I expected. The level of detail is incredible!!
Thanks Nate and Mindy! I appreciate the kind words for sure! Being the first show of this type there's just a ton I'm unsure of so it really helps to get positive feedback about the work.
I'd like to do one more pen and ink that plays better with the whimsy aspect of that first wishful thinking illustration. Gotta do one more woodland illustration before that though. We'll see if I can get it all done! My goal is to have everything done by May 23 so that all I have to do from that point on is get things printed, matted, and placed in plastic for the show. :)
Looks amazing Amy. I'm sure you'll learn a lot from this first time, but it'll just help for next time.
Great piece! :) Can't wait to see the next!
As always, lambent beauty always being posted here.
I can't believe the range of value you were able to achieve in these - amazing!
Are you going to put up a sneak-peak of the entire exchange arsenal before the weekend?
Jen, you are so right. This is a HUGE learning experience. I'm excited to see how the day plays out.
Thanks JE! Considering you are the pen and ink MASTER that is a high compliment.
Brian, you are too kind! What a pretty word 'lambent' is. :)
Thanks Dan! I just posted another piece. I'll be updating my etsy site Wed or Thurs night with the full handicraft arsenal for anyone wanting a print that is unable to make it to the event this weekend.
